Identify Yourself

Who do you think are the people whom most of us wannabe like after a few years from now and what do you think is the reason behind the same ?

1. Their Bank Balance

2. the number of Porsches and Rolls Royces and Mercedes' owned by them

3. Designation in his/her area of work

4. How well he/she looks and dresses and speaks and charms people

5. Etc,Etc,Etc

I write these because that is how I see today's world gauge a human being - "Wow, he is wearing an Armani suit" .. "OMG...she is so rich that she is having dinner at ITC Gardenia" .. "Freak man, look at that guy in the BMW" ... "Dude, she is the Executive VP!!!" .. "She looks so damn hot and beautiful" .. "He owns an Iphonezzzzz" .. Blah blah blah

Most of us (please note 'Most') then aspire to be these people because we feel they are great and have achieved something which we should also someday achieve

How many of us think that a guy who is very simple, not very genetically good looking, no show-off and expensive brands can be a role-model too ?

How many of us think about the kind of journey he/she has travelled to reach what we can see?? 

How many of us aspire to be like a person who makes a positive difference to some person/group/organization/society day in and day out without any situational need/financial motivation to do so???

Financially, all that it would need is foregoing a bottle of Absolut Vodka once a month, or eating one less bucket of KFC chicken or staying home for one weekend evening in a month. 

But, it is not the financial hurdle which is difficult to cross, it is something else that needs to be crossed and I doubt a very large proportion of us(equivalent to the kind of CAT and XAT and MAT and what not scores we boast about) will never ever cross it because we will never understand that it is not the Levi's Jeans or the Breitling watch or the Apple Iphone4 or the Audi A4 which will mark our TRUE IDENTITY. 

I hope I know at least a handful of such people in the next whatever years, people who have crossed that hurdle !!

P.S. - I do not know whom to tag in this post as can't say how many will understand this, can't tag myself too as even I have not understood it completely as yet.
